历史的起点The Origin of History

春城昆明，作为云南省的省会和政治、经济、文化中心，Spring City Kunming, the provincial capital and the political, economical and cultural center of Yunnan, 是云南省辐射南亚和东南亚的中心城市，is the center city that radiates South Asia and Southeast Asia, 也是中国首批24个历史文化名城之一。and is also one of the first China’s 24 famous historical and cultural cities.

昆明书林街，梧桐成行，浓阴掩映。Kunming Shulin Street, embanked with Chinese parasols and thick shades, 与它的名字一样，这条街道上学校、报社、出版社云集，充满文化气息。gathers schools, newspaper offices and publishing houses, full of cultural atmosphere, just like its name.

从20世纪50年代起，云南人民出版社居于书林街100号。Since the 1950s, Yunnan People’s Publishing House has located in 100 Shulin Street.

1985年，乘着中国改革开放的东风，In 1985, seizing the opportunity of China’s Reform and Open Policy, 在云南人民出版社文教编辑室的基础上，on the basis of Cultural and Educational Editing Office of Yunnan People’s Publishing House, 云南教育出版社作为云南人民出版社的一个副牌社挂牌成立。Yunnan Education Publishing House was formally established as a subordinate publishing house of Yunnan People’s Publishing House.

1993年7月，经国家新闻出版署批准，云南教育出版社正式独立建社，In July, 1993, with the approval of the General Administration of Press and Publication, Yunnan Education Publishing House was formally founded independently. 高举“追求图书品位，塑造出版品格”的旗帜，以书林街100号为起点，Holding high the banner of “Pursuing Good Tastes for Books, Shaping Good Character for Publication” , starting from 100 Shulin Street, 开启了创业之路，提出“第一次创业”的口号。Yunnan Education Publishing House set foot on its entrepreneurial journey and proposed “the First Entrepreneurship” slogan.

创业的历程Process of Entrepreneurship

服务于云南教育事业，既是我们的诺言，又是我们事业的根基。Serving for Yunnan’s education is not only our promise, but also the foundation of our enterprise. 秉承“本土化、专业化、品牌化”的理念，In accordance with the idea of “localization, professionalization and branding”, “云南省义务教育地方课程系列教材”“云南省中小学劳动与技术教育实验课本”“中小学安全教育”等地方教材和“课课练”“单元目标检测”“优佳学案”“云南省初中学业水平标准与考试说明”等教辅图书成为了云南中小学地方教学用书的品牌。we have brand products such as Yunnan Compulsory Education Local Curriculum Textbook series, Yunnan Elementary and Secondary Schools’ Labor and Technology Education Experimental Textbook, Elementary and Secondary Schools’ Safety Education and the other local textbooks alike, Exercise on Every Class, Detection for Unit’s Goal, Excellent Exercise Cases, Yunnan Junior High School Academic Achievement Standard and Examination Description and many other book series published for Yunnan elementary and secondary schools’ education.

经过三年的快速发展，1996年云南教育出版社调整结构，开拓创新，After three years’ rapid development, in 1996, Yunnan Education Publishing House adjusted its structure with exploration and innovation. 为了开拓选题和拓展图书市场，在北京成立了南天竹图书有限公司。In order to exploit new selected topics and expand book market, Nantianzhu Book Co., Ltd. attached to Yunnan Education Publishing House, was established in Beijing.

20世纪90年代开始，云南教育出版社实施“精品图书工程”，Starting from the 1990s, Yunnan Education Publishing House has been carrying out “Quality Books Project”, 提出“一年一种获奖书，一年一种畅销书”的奋斗目标。putting forward the goal of “An Award-winning Book and A Best-seller for Each Year”. 30年来出版了一大批有特色、经得起时间考验的出版物，In this 30 years, a multitude of distinctive publications withstanding the test of time have been produced; 几乎年年都有产品获国家三大奖——中宣部“五个一工程”奖、中国出版政府奖和中华优秀出版物奖。almost in every year, there would be at least one product gaining one of the three national major awards—the “Five-One Project” award, Chinese Government Award and China’s Best Publication Award.

在新旧世纪之交，云南教育出版社抓住契机，成为云南省新闻出版系统中的社刊工程试点单位。In the turn of the century, Yunnan Education Publishing House grasped the opportunity, becoming the periodical project experimental unit in Yunnan Press and Publication system. 主办了《生态经济》《人与自然》《纳税》《漫画派对》杂志。It has been hosting the following periodicals: Ecological Economy, Man and Nature, Paying Taxes and Comic Party.《漫画派对》成为中国出版界的一匹黑马，月发行量近百万册，创造了突出的社会效益和经济效益。Comic Party became a dark horse in China’s publishing circle, with its million monthly circulation.

2005年，云南出版集团成立。In 2005, Yunnan Publishing Group was established. 云南教育出版社调结构、求发展已初见成效。Yunnan Education Publishing House’s achieved initial success through its adjustment and efforts. 随着集团的成立，云南教育出版社进入高速发展时期，出书品种和利润逐年攀升，并连续几年成为云南省纳税大户。With the establishment of the group, Yunnan Education Publishing House entered a rapid development period—book varieties and profits are rising each year, acting as a large taxpayer for several years.

2014年，在经济新常态下，云南教育出版社新班子突出主业，奋力拼搏，干部职工同心同德，齐心协力，取得了骄人的业绩，实现了“再造一个教育社”的目标。In 2014, the new leading group of Yunnan Education Publishing House focused on and strengthened the core business, struggling and fighting hard, uniting and leading all the staff to make concerted efforts and gained great achievements, realizing the goal of “create a new Education Publishing House”.

30年的发展，从一个编辑部，到一个出版社，30 years’ development, from an editorial department to a publishing house, 从1993年独立建社初期的27名员工，年出书品种200多种，码洋800多万元，到2014年的130多名员工，年出书品种近2000种，码洋4亿多元。from 27 staff of the early days in 1993 with 200 book titles and more than 8 million total book price to over 130 staff in 2014 with about 2000 book titles and more than 40 million total book price. 现有9个图书编辑部，1个期刊中心和云南教育音像电子出版社、云南新闻出版教育培训中心、云南省教育出版研究所、云南出版传媒技工学校等分支机构，Now we have 9 editorial departments, 1 periodical center, with subordinate branches such as Yunnan Education Audio-Video & Electronic Press, Yunnan Press & Publication Education Training Center, Yunnan Education Publishing Research Institute, Yunnan Publication Media Technician Training School and so on. 已成为教学用书、学术著作、文化普及、少儿图书出版并重，图书与期刊互动，纸质出版与数字出版并进，出版与教育培训并行，社会效益和经济效益显著的综合性出版社，Our publishing house has become a comprehensive one which focuses on teaching books, academic books, cultural books and children’s books; books interact with periodicals; print publication goes along with digital publication; publication and educational training develop in parallel; both the social benefits and economic benefits are prominent. 其规模和实力在我国西南地区位居前列Its scale and strength ranks top among the publishers in China’s southwest area. 云南教育出版社30年的发展，印证了中国当代出版事业发展与壮大的历史。The 30 years’ development of Yunnan Education Publishing House verifies the contemporary publishing industry’s development and expansion in China.
